We are an independent company with a boutique approach to an industry often met with a one-sided and homogenized set of solutions. Our goal is simple: arm the artist with control via an elevated connection with their fan. What are we talking about here? Although it does not seem like rocket science, it still is not the norm. We believe in listening to what the fans want, we believe in ideas that are suited to a specific artist and their specific fan. We do not believe in monopolies that take advantage of the artist or their fans. We believe these relationships need to be honored, not milked.
We believe in partners, not clients, and we cannot do it alone. Multiple Grammies and platinum records are not necessarily the ingredients for a well cultivated community, and that is not necessarily the partner we are after. We are looking for the right partners, the ones that share our values, understand their involvement is necessary, and most importantly are open to new ways of reaching their fans.
We do this because we love it. We do it because there is a monumental change occurring to an industry that desperately needs it. We welcome the change, we believe in it, and we are thankful to be a part of it.

EMF - Yes. I said it. I’ll admit it. I saved up enough money mowing lawns to buy that cassette. I played it so many times that it literally broke.

Some small-time hardcore band @ “The Place” in Davis, CA. I don’t remember the name of the band, but I do remember that they had a Betsy Ross 13-star American Flag hanging in the back that had mushroom clouds for stars and some cold war poem on the white stripes. The 80s ruled.
Whitechapel @ the Ace of Spades in Sacramento.
The Ditty Bops are the best band I have seen to date. Stellar harmonies and musicianship through and through. All artists should strive first to sound this good, and strive second to look this cute.
The Who, until they release instrumental versions of all the Led Zeppelin albums. Actually, just Bonham and JPJ tracks would be good.

Michael Bolton, I shit you not. Adult Contemporary was my jams back in 6/7th grade haha.
In a similar vein, James Taylor. Was also my first date, a girl in 5th grade took me to the concert for my birthday.
The Pillows, this J-Rock band.
Lollapalooza in, I think, ‘95. I know it’s not a band per se, but the experience of being in high school, going to this huge concert in the Bay Area, girls I liked were there … was pretty incredible.
Abstaining, I feel like I mostly am listening to what other people play in the office.

Best Live Band: A friend took me to see Bon Iver @ The Town Hall back in 2008, before Id heard any of his work, and it blew my mind. The pure, raw emotion in the room was breathtaking. The student/teacher dynamic between the supporting bandmates was pretty fun too. Maybe it was only so awesome because we werent sure how to get there, and it was raining buckets the whole time we wandered. Fun adventure, we missed The Tallest Man on Earth though...

I owned a bunch of girl rock on cassette like Alanis Morissette, Fiona Apple, Natalie Merchant, Tracy Chapman and Sheryl Crow. I think The Wallflowers - Bringing Down The Horse was the first CD that I ever bought, and damn proud of it. Great album that holds up today.
Hanson in 97. To throw in some real cred, Im sure my parents took me to a Stones concert or something really cool when I was a kid and I just don’t remember.
